This information is from the book "Loziers Descendants Of Francois Le Sueur" By Theodore Woodruff Lozier, 1917-1997 and his correspondence with my Aunt Elsie, 1909-1997. Below is a excerpt from Ted's book. Ted was gracious enough to make it so his book could be shared.

Special credit must go to Theodore Frelinghuysen Lozier (1855-1937), a bachelor attorney from New Yrk City whose life long hobby was Lozier genealogy, but who died before completing the compiliation of it, leaving his rugh notes with the Bergen County Historical Society (N.J.). His rough notes have been carefully studied by the writer, and all of his data has been incorporated here-in. Genealogical records of every description, at most major libraries, have been searched and sifted to add to the information left by Theo. F. Lozier. In addition, a determined effort has been made to contact every living Lozier in the U.S. during 1970-74 to gather more data on them and thier family records. To blend all the information gathered, into one comprehensive report, it is necessary to judge accuracy and to resolve conflicting information. This I have done to the best of my judgement and I feel the results to be more accurate and reliable than any of the individual sources used. I wish to point out that work is far from complete, and changes or corrections are added almost daily. The updating and correcting of this type of work never ends and I hope that some future Lozier will be able to correct, add to, and inprove this work which will be left with the Bergen County (N.J.) Historical Society. I am always pleased to share and exchange family data with others. Permission is granted to copy any part or all of this work, or to update, correct, or expand upon it.
